Image editor

The image editor enables manipulation of images stored with the Image Library.

Navigating to the Image editor area

1. Click the Settings icon in the left navigation bar. The Settings menu will open.
2. Click the Asset manager link in the second group of links.
3. Click the Image editor tab. The Image editor will now be shown.

Editing images

To edit an image, try the following:

1. Navigate to the Image editor area.
2. Click the Actions menu, and select Open file from the available options. The Image library will open.
3. Find your image in the Image library, and click Use this image. The image library will close, and the image will be ready for editing in the image editor.

Available tools

Tool	Notes
Resize	Change the size of the image.
Effects	Apply an effect of the image.
Crop	Remove an area of the image.
Optimise	Attempt to optimise the image for the web.
Adjust level	Adjust the brightness or contrast of the image.
Rotate 90 CCW	Rotate the image 90 degrees counter clockwise.
Rotate 90 CW	Rotate the image 90 degrees clockwise.
Flip horizontal	Flip the image over the horizontal axis.
Flip vertical	Flip the image over the vertical axis.

You must drag a marquee on an image, before the image can be cropped.

Effects

The Effects tools allow you to assign predefined image styles to a selected image. A number of effects are available in Jadu Central.

Effect	Notes
Grayscale	Applies a grayscale filter to your image.
Watermark	Applies a caption containing your website's domain name to the footer of your image.
Rounded	Applies rounded corners to your image.
Drop Shadow	Applies a dropped shadow to your image.
Reflection	Applies a reflection from the bottom of your image.
Blur	Blurs the focus of your image.
Sharpen	Sharpens the focus of your image.
