Updating Documents

Documents can be updated in OnBase as a result of a Form submission. There are two ways a document can be updated:

All API requests to update Documents triggered by rules in the form, are made within the scope of the portal web request for the form submission. In addition, there may be supporting API requests (e.g. to get Document Type or Keyword metadata) and/or evaluate Logics. Please be mindful of this when designing your form as there will ultimately be a limit on the number of API requests that can feasibly be made within the time allowed for the web request. This is not a hard-limit in the software and depends on a number of factors, with some being specific to the environments being used (Jadu Central & OnBase).

In order to allow users to amend previously provided information, it may be necessary to display or pre-fill data that is held on the Document or was provided in the original form submission, or to use such data to route the user through the form.
