Address prefill

To prevent a customer needing to provide their address details multiple times, such as when requesting delivery and billing addresses, you may wish to prefill an address question with a values previously submitted.

Two prefills are required for this: the postcode and the property identifier (or UPRN).

Adding a prefill using user account values

Add a prefill for each address value:

  1. Prefill the address lookup, postcode element with the User - Postcode value.
  2. Prefill the address lookup, property identifier (or UPRN) element with the User - UPRN value.

If you now view the form on the website as a signed in user, you will see that the address question is prefilled with the address from that user account. Addresses are prefilled in internal forms if the form is submitted on behalf of a user.

note

If you are using ESRI LocatorHub as your address provider you should map UPRN to the Address Lookup - Property element and not the Address Lookup - UPRN as with other addressing providers. Mapping the User - UPRN to the Address Lookup - UPRN field won't prefill an ESRI Locator Hub address question.

Adding a prefill from a previous question

Add a prefill for each address value:

  1. Prefill the delivery address lookup, postcode element with the postcode element of the contact address lookup.
  2. Prefill the delivery address lookup, property identifier (or UPRN) element with the the property identifier (or UPRN) element of the contact address.

If you now view the form on the website, you will see that the delivery address question matches the contact address you choose.
