Rerunning a previously run export

You may need to rerun an export if:

  • configuration criteria are changed
  • data retention rules have removed the data file
  • you've deleted the local version of the file
  • the export failed to successfully complete

Rerunning an export

  1. Navigate to the Data Export management area and open the export record.
  2. Click the History tab.
  3. Click the Details button. This opens the details modal, the criteria displayed will be used in the rerun export.
  4. Click the Rerun button to generate the export.

Differences between original and rerun exports

Rerunning an export will use the same criteria to match form data as when the export ran originally.

For example, relative dates such as the previous day will be the same date as when the export ran originally. The resulting data file will be the same for both the original running of the export and the rerunning of the export.

Changes to received form data may result in differences between the original output and the rerun output.

Changes that will alter the output are:

  • Data retention policies have removed the received form data.
  • An incomplete has since been completed by the user.
  • Registered user has removed the incomplete form from their my account.
  • A user deletion request has been received and processed.
  • System administrator has removed uploaded user files as part of server maintenance.

Accessing deleted data files

If a data file has been deleted the export will need to be rerun. A warning message will be displayed when trying to download the files

Click the Run Again button to rerun the export using the same export criteria as when the original files were created. See Rerunning a previously run export.
