Publically submitted events

The Events publishing module includes a public event submission form where visitors to the live website can submit an event.

After the website visitor presses the Submit your event button, they receive an on-screen event submission notification. The website administrator will receive an event submission email.

The submitted event details will await approval/amendment in the Events Pending tab of the Events publishing interface.

Before the event submission can be approved and published, the event details require categories and metadata to be completed in the Control Center.

Publishing a pubically submitted Event

  1. Click the title of a submitted event to open it for editing. Complete the metadata and category details for the submitted event, and review the submitted content to ensure it meets your organisations publishing standards.
  2. Click the Save button to save your changes. The submitted event will now be moved from the "Events pending" list to the "Events" list if you need to make further changes later.
  3. To publish the submitted event on your website, you will now need to click the Submit button to progress the event through the publishing workflow.
