Flow and structure
The form structure is where you will see the structure of your form. When opening a form that you have previously created this will be the view that you will see. Whilst in the form configuration pages you can get back to this view at any time by clicking Pages in the tab bar.
Form structure diagram
The form structure diagram gives you a visual representation of your form.
The pages are listed in the order in which the site visitor will visit them. If page level branching has been configured on the form, you will be able to easily identify the different branches that a site visitor can visit as they journey through your form.
From the form structure diagram you can set up page level branching and prefill questions.
Adding form instructions
Form instructions are presented to the site visitor at the very beginning of your form. Form level instructions you provide should help the site visitor understand how to complete the form and should apply to the whole form - you can set instructions specific to a page on the page itself.
- Navigate to the form management area, and open the form you wish to update instructions for.
- At the top of the panel on the left hand side there is a toggle to show the instructions page. Click the Show instructions page toggle, it will go green when enabled.
- Once enabled, the instructions page will be added to your form and an editor will open on the right hand side. This is where you can enter your instructions content.
- After you have added your instructions page content click the Save button to save your changes.
Disabling form instructions
- Navigate to the form management area, and open the form you wish to disable instructions for.
- At the top of the panel on the left hand side there is a toggle to show the instructions page. Click the Show instructions page toggle. A warning panel will be shown, warning you that any content you've entered into the instructions page will be removed if you continue.
- Click the Remove Instructions Page button. The panel will close and the instructions page will be removed from the form.
Types of page
There are two types of pages that can be created in Jadu Central:
- Shared pages can be used on more than one form
- Form specific pages can only be used on the form that they were created in
Both types of page can be used more than once on our form.

Removing a page from the form context
Pages that are not in use within your form structure can be removed from the context of the form.
If the page is form specific you can choose to change the visibility of the page to make it shared or to delete it permanently.
If the page is shared, removing the page from the form context will not delete it permanently, so no other forms will be affected.
- Navigate to the form management area, and open the form you wish to add a page to.
- From the Pages tab, click Remove on the page you want to delete.
- If the page is a form specific page, a panel will be shown asking what you want to do with the page. Choose either Permanently Delete or Share and Remove from Form.
- If the page is not form specific, a confirmation panel will appear. Click Remove from form to remove the page from the form.
Adding a page to the form structure
A page must be added to the form context before it can be added into the form structure:
- Navigate to the form management area, and open the form you wish to add a page to.
- From the Pages tab, click and hold the left hand mouse button on the page you want to add and drag it onto the form structure. Here you will be given options on where to place the form, before, after or as a branch from a page depending on where you position the mouse cursor. Let go of the mouse to drop the page into the form.
- After dropping the page you will be given the chance to change the title of the page and the instructions. Type in a new title and some new instructions if you wish.
- Click the Save button to finish adding the page your form.
Alternatively:
- To add a page to your form without using drag and drop, click the Create Page button.
- The form structure diagram will expand with buttons in places where the page can be inserted. Click on the button at the position you want your page to be inserted.
- Type in a new title and some new instructions if you wish.
- Click the Save button to save your changes.
Some component types require additional settings to be entered when adding a page to the form structure. For example the ESRI LocatorHub integrated components allow properties to be filtered by a field in the return data. The field and the value are set when adding the page to the form context.
Removing a page from the form structure
Pages that are in use within the form structure can be removed if they are no longer required as part of your form's journey. Pages that you remove will not be deleted from the form context; they will just be removed from the form structure. This will mean that the page can no longer be visited by a customer completing the form.
Removing a page from the form structure will also remove any pages that are branched off of it.
- Navigate to the form management area, and open the form you wish to add a page to.
- From the Pages tab, click the checkbox on the line of the page you wish to remove.
- Click the Actions menu and click the Remove pages option when the menu opens.
- Confirm the change, or if the page or questions on the page are being used in rules or mappings, remap those uses.
If you are removing all pages from a form that has a branching rules using a Page was visited rule, you will need to remove the rule before removing all the pages.
You will be asked to update the rule when removing all pages but there will be no pages available to update the rule with.
Remapping when removing a page
When removing a page that is in use in another part of the form you will be asked to remap those usages before removing the page.
- From the Remove Page(s) panel, click the Start remapping button to proceed to the remapping interface.
- The panel will update to display a list of pages or quests that require remapping. A variable picker is provided to remap the input.
- Once an option has been selected for each remapping instance, click the Finish and Remove Pages button to update the usages and remove the page.
Page setup
Some components require an input in order to function. When adding a page that contains such a component into the form structure, you will see further section along side the setup of the title and instructions text of your page.
In the Page Setup section, you will see fields for each input required by questions on the page. Some fields will provide their own list of options, whilst others with showing the form management mapping selector.
You must complete all of page setup fields before you can continue. Some fields may have no options, which indicates the page is not in a suitable location, and cannot be added.
For example, a page containing a Bartec - Bins at Property integrated component requires a UPRN. You can only add this page to the form, if a previous page has an address lookup question on it.
