How Single Sign On works
Jadu Connect has a built-in OAuth2/OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication framework enabling third party portals to allow a user to authenticate using their Jadu MyAccount credentials.
Jadu Connect will collect the basic user information (name, email address, postal address, telephone number) upon registration and make this information available, along with a unique user identifier, to the third party portal once the user has successfully signed in.
Depending on the needs of each portal, they may need to collect and store extra user information, for example Council Tax account details, when the user first visits the portal.
Further information on authentication using Jadu Connect is available in the Jadu Connect authentication guide.
Available single sign on connectors
Jadu offers connectors with the NEC Citizen Access Revenues and Benefits portal, and NEC Housing portal.
This also includes access to the Jadu Connect OAuth Client Manager which can be used to set up connections (OAuth Clients) for any other system/portal which supports OAuth2/OIDC.
The NEC Citizen Access Revenues and Benefits connector comes with a widget to surface links to the relevant areas of the NEC portal based on whether or not the user is already signed into their MyAccount.
Access to the OAuth Client Manager can also be purchased as a separate add-on to Jadu Connect.
Jadu also has a connector to enable Single Sign on with the Capita OneDigital portal. This can be used regardless of whether you are using the full Jadu platform, or just Jadu Central.
