Services

A service is anything that a user can pay for. For example, council tax or development control fees.

note

To create services you'll need at least one payment adapter installed, for direct debit services this must be Bottomline. You'll also need to have created a fund code and a tax code

Managing services

Services are managed via the PayBridge menu.

If your account has permission to access services, you navigate to their management area by the following:

  1. Click the PayBridge icon in the left navigation bar. The PayBridge menu will open.
  2. Click the Manage services link.

Service types

Three service types are supported for card services. Direct debit services must always be used in conjunction with a form.

tip

You can not use the same service to collect both card and direct debit payments - you'll need a separate service for each.

TypeNotes
Forms IntegratedThis is the most common type, used when you want to take a payment as part of your form.
BilledA simpler way of collecting payment, that doesn't require a form. Customers are just asked to provide a reference number and the amount to be paid.
Upon RequestSimilar to Billed, but does not ask the customer for a reference.

Making a service live

Make your service live, by ticking the checkbox on the right hand side of its row in the services list.
