Onboarding guide
This guide is for organizations who are implementing, or are considering implementing, Jadu Content Portal.
It is intended to provide a high-level perspective of who will need to be involved from an organization, the process and tasks that will be required, instructions for getting started.
This guide is intended for Managers, Heads of Departments / Service, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.
The steps outlined are not required in every case; each business can adopt and adapt the strategies to fit their own individuality, so as to increase the likelihood of success.
Influencing Factors
There are influencing factors to be considered when estimating and planning the length of an implementation and project schedule:
- The number of additional modules purchased
- The requirement for any custom developments or professional services
- Technical architecture, server and network configuration
- The chosen design process
- Implementation and testing of the platform
- Availability of in-house skills and resources
- Business process analysis and prioritization of processes and eforms to be built to provide the greatest value
- Content governance and management planning
- Project governance
- Project initiation assesses all these factors required to develop a realistic project schedule
- Process can take longer if environments are new vs existing
- quantity and complexity of the integrations you choose
Project Timescales
A typical Jadu Content Portal project duration can be as little as 1 month spanning to around 6 months depending on the integrations you may need to deliver first.
‘Out of the Box’ projects are of course much more rapid, however many customers prefer to integrate with an existing authentication service (such as CAS, ADFS or Shibboleth), that requires a custom adapter to be developed - and also forms data to be pushed to a back office system, such as an enterprise content management (ECM) or CRM system.
Sample project plans can be found in Initiation section of this guide.
Onboarding
Jadu will walk you through the process of onboarding as a Jadu platform user. This tried and tested process ensures that implementation does not simply close at the successful installation of the software. We will walk you through the milestones of the implementation step by step and structure the plan to maximize time and minimize waste.
The On-boarding process: A structured implementation with the right investment in time and resources guarantees a much higher critical success factor to help your organization deliver on its Digital transformation objectives.
