Hub Integration Server
The Jadu Hub Integration Server (HUBis) product is required in cases where the customer has an externally hosted & managed Jadu Central environment or has a Jadu Connect tenant space, either of which requires to integrate with an on-premise back office / line of business system. In such cases, HUBis provides a common interface for integrating with these third-party products.
Hosting Options
In regards to the location of the server infrastructure there are three options for you to consider:
- Internally hosting and managing HUBis infrastructure within your DMZ
- Externally hosting and managing the HUBis infrastructure within your preferred external hosting supplier (e.g. AWS, Azure), potentially using VPN from this to your internal networks
- Externally hosting the HUBis infrastructure with managed services & support provided via Jadu. Please note: This option will incur additional platform management costs to any existing support and hosting arrangements.
Terms of Service & Support
As HUBis is only required under certain customer scenarios, it is a separate optional product with it’s own Jadu support agreement. Managed services can optionally be provided by Jadu where the customer would prefer to outsource overall platform management of the HUBis hosting infrastructure. Relevant operating stack / environment updates and Jadu Software patches can be applied by the Jadu Support team where an existing managed services agreement is in place with Jadu for a HUBis hosting environment. Where this is not the case, operating stack / environment and software patches will fall to the responsibility of the customer's own internal technical teams.
It is recommended that two instances of HUBis are installed to enable testing and live operation to be segregated.
